Sales Secret (30): Conviction counts, not convenience.

Hi,
Do you go to buy in the shop next door just because it is convenient for you? May be sometimes. But not necessarily always! Because, convenience matters only to some extent. People travel miles to buy from a specific shop because they are confident of getting what they want. They are convinced that they get the best deal there. When they have such a conviction, the convenience does not count any more.

So, you must help your customer also gain that kind of conviction that he wants buy from you....only from you. He comes to you because he gained the required conviction. You treated him well. You showed concern for him. You worked out the best deal for him. You always listened to him to understand his needs. You provided him the best solution to meet those needs. You sold him the way he liked you to sell to him.

That is the way to success in sales. Customer conviction brings about sustainable sales. On the other hand, if a customer comes to you just because of the convenience for him to buy from you, you will sell him far less than when he buys from you out of his conviction.

Start thinking from today what are all the things that you can do to help your customers gain that conviction to buy from you. Gain more and more of 'customers by conviction.' You will sell your way to SUCCESS.
To your sales success,
With love,
Siva
