Sales Secret (25) : You won't learn until you ask. PROBE to learn full story.

In order to be able to give a correct solution, it is necessary to learn the full story. Giving suggestions without understanding the complete story is futile. It is important to learn why a customer is seeking a specific type product or a service. Only then, it becomes possible to offer a correct solution that could fit into his requirements in the best possible manner. And, he will be able to consider your offer. But how do you get the complete story?

By asking questions in a professional manner, you can help your customer tell you what his interests are, why he is so specific about what he wants, and what are his resources as well as his limitations. You need to probe in an orderly manner in such a way that your customer is motivated to reveal what he wants without any inhibitions or any kind of suspicion.

There are different kinds of probes you could use to help your customer learn about his own needs better on one hand and you are able to design a suitable solution for him on the other hand.
