Unstoppable Updates (13) Happy Sankranthi!

Hi,
People across India celebrate the festival of Makara Sankranthi during the next 3 days. It is called by different names, Pongal, Lohri, Sankranthi, etc. It is the first festival of the year, and more elaborately celebrated in villages. It coincides with the harvest time of most of the crops sown during monsoon season. With the grain brought home and cash in hand, farmers celebrate it with a lot of pomp and grandeur. A good harvest means a happy farmer and a joyful sankranthi.

That way, prosperity of farmers is fundamental and paramount to a happy world. A happy farmer with a rich harvest of his crop could trigger a chain reaction resulting in improved quality of life and happiness for people not only at his home and the community in his village but also for people living far and wide. He tills his land, sows the seed, plants his crop, toils hard to nurture and protect it, harvests it, and GIVES IT to the market for the benefit of the consumers of the world. A noble act indeed!! May he be cared for! May he be blessed by the god!

May this Sankranthi bring with it a bountiful harvest & prosperity to the FARMERS of India and all over the world!

Happy Pongal/Lohri/Sankranthi!
With love and regards,
Siva
