namam no. 287) sureSwarah (सुरेश्वरः) (సురేశ్వరః )

aum sureSwaraaya namah (ओं सुरेश्वराय नमः) (ఓం సురేశ్వరాయ నమః)

The word sura's means those who follow dharma without any evil thoughts. As He is their protector, he is called sureSwarah.

The last namam SaSabinduh and this namam are referred to in a similar context. These 2 names reveal that He shows intolerance towards the bad and kindness towards the good.

Thought of the Day (109): Are you about to give up on anything? Hmmm, take a look at this.

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
Thomas A. Edison

You never know how close you are towards that ultimate step to get what you want. You may be just one step close to your goal. One more attempt at it may lead to your success. Persist until you succeed. Are you about to give up on anything? You may like to give another try.
To your continued SUCCESS,
With love,

namam no. 286) SaSabinduh (शशबिन्दुः) (శశబిందుః)

aum SaSabindave namah (ओं शशबिन्दुवे नमः) (ఓం శశబిందువే నమః)

The word Sasa means the people who walk on the wrong path. As paramaatma suppresses (binduh) such people, He is called SaSabinduh.

A rabbit moves around jumping this way and that way without walking straight. Here the word SaSa refers to the people who have such a nature of uneven attitude. People with a sinful mind hate god and His devotees.  Here this namam suggests that He will suppress them leaving no sign of them.

Some people read this namam as Sasibinduh which is incorrect. It may be noted and correctly pronounced as SaSabinduh.

Thought of the Day (108): It is actions that yield results, not just the words.

"Action is the foundational key to all success."
Pablo Picasso

"Thinking will not overcome fear but action will."
W. Clement Stone

Dreams are important. But more important are the ACTIONS taken towards achieving those dreams. Without getting into action, the dreams will remain as dreams. It is essential to get into actions to make the dreams come true.

What YOU HAVE DONE today towards your moving closer to your dreams?

namam no. 285) bhaanuh (भानुः) (భానుః)

aum bhaanave namah (ओं भानवे नमः) (ఓం భానవే నమః)

He is known as bhanave as He glows so brightly that brightens even the brightest sun who has a thousand rays.

In other words, as the sun who has a great glow also draws his brightness from the paramaatma, this namam bhaanuh reveals the existence of natural brightness of the lord.

This namam appeared earlier also as namam # 126. It is not an exaggeration to call Him bhaanuh as even the sun, who is brighter than the moon and the stars, also borrows his light from the god.

Sales Secret (40): Successful sales people have a plan to sell themselves. Do you have yours?

Hi,
There are many super-salesmen who made it big in their carers. If you look at them you would notice that they have something in common. As they evolved as salesmen, they developed their own plans to train themselves and improve their selling skills. It is not that they never failed in their sales endeavours. But, they learnt from their failures, fine-tuned their style and system of selling, and became professional salesmen.

They know that it is important to sell themselves effectively in order to sell their products and/or their services. The first step in the process is knowing oneself and the way one is trying to sell oneself. That will help in learning the lacunae, correcting the errors, and improving the ability to sell oneself with time. Customers differ in their needs as well as their behaviours. It is important to learn how to deal with different types of buyers. But at the same time it is more important for you to learn about yourself and the way you deal with them. And, you ought to have a plan to learn, improve, and sell yourself.

What are you going to do today to check yourself and develop a plan for yourself to improve further so that you can sell yourself and your products/services better?
To your sales success,
With love,
Siva

Thought of the Day (107): The prepared take the best advantage when the opportunity knocks. How prepared are you?

"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure."
Colin Powell

"Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure."
Confucius

Preparation is the key to SUCCESS. Success is where and when the opportunity meets with the preparation. When you are on a Mission, you ought to prepare at your best. How prepared are you for achieving your goals? Can you make TODAY a list of what you need to do in order to make yourself well prepared to get what you want to get?

aum amritaamSoodbhavaaya namah (ओं अमृतांशूद्भवाय नमः) (ఓం అమృతాంశూద్భవాయ నమః)

He is called amritaamSoodbhavah as He became the birth place of the cool moon. It means that the moon became cool just as the mind of the god which is also naturally cool like water.

As the moon, who has the traits like the ability to mellow down every one's anxieties, the power of bringing the dead alive, and the rays that are like the nectar of eternity, is also born from the mind of the god after absorbing the coolness that exists in His mind, the paramaatma is called amritaamSoodbhavah.

In essence, it means that the moon was born from the mind of god.

"Our job on earth isn't to criticize, reject, or judge. Our purpose is to offer a helping hand, compassion, and mercy. We are to do unto others as we hope they would do unto us."
Dana Arcuri, Harvest of Hope: Living Victoriously Through Adversity

The world is waiting for you. REACH OUT. Don't be afraid of exploring, for the life is a true adventure.

Monday Motivation for Success from Siva (55): The only time when the blind Dhritaraashtra could get to see, but wanted to remain blind forever thereafter.

Hi,
Dhritaraashtra was blind by birth. He could never see anything. He was sad that he could not see his sons - the 100 Kauravas. He loved them so much that He allowed them to do whatever they wanted, though he knew many times that what they were doing was not right. Being the king of Hastinapura, He always wished if he could get to see, how nice it would be. He yearned to get the power of vision and the ability to see. There was one occasion that he could actually open his eyes and get that vision to see. But after that, he wanted to remain blind forever. When was that? And why was it so? Let us take a look at it from today's Monday Motivational story
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The only time when the blind Dhritaraashtra could get to see, but wanted to remain blind for ever thereafter.
Krishna arrived at the court of the Kauravas on a peace mission as an envoy of Pandavas. Duryodhana made arrangements and got thousands of his soldiers ready to seize Krishna and tie him with ropes in case Krishna talked against him and proposed anything against the interest of the Kauravas. Didn't the all-knowing Krishna know about it? He knew what their plans were.

However, he went to their court and told them his piece of advice. He also threatened them of dire consequences if they did not listen to his words. Duryodhana became very angry with Krishna and attempted to capture him with his warriors who were already kept ready for that purpose. Krishna showed no signs of fear. He took his viratroop - the viswaroopam that made Duryodhana and his soldiers bewilder, faint, and become unconscious. But, the blind Dhritaraashtra, by the grace of Krishna, gained the sight with which he was able to see the viswaroopam - the divine appearance of Krishna.

Dhritaraashtra felt blessed seeing Krishna in that form and prayed to him, "Oh Krishna! Having seen your viswaroopam, I do not want to see anything else. I may be blessed to be blind again." And, he became blind again. Krishna left the court, and the war became inevitable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why did Dhritaraashtra want to be blind again? Perhaps, he knew he did a lot of wrong to the Pandavas by allowing his sons' evil designs and plots that harmed and troubled them. He knew he could not control his sons anymore and any longer. Or perhaps, he had seen such a delightful sight of the divine appearance of Sri Krishna and did not want to dilute that bliss with the sight of the earthly matters. So, was it repentance for doing the wrong or his realisation of the god on the part of Dhritaraashtra? Or both? Or something else?

With love,
Siva

Thought of the Day (105): Unleash the best in you consciously from this moment on. Will you?

"You can be creative in anything - in math, science, engineering, philosophy - as much as you can in music or in painting or in dance."
Ken Robinson

Each thought counts, Each stroke matters; Each day, you are engaged in painting your own picture with or without your knowledge. But the matter of the fact is that you are a painter and you are painting your picture every single day, and it is taking a shape. How beautiful it is depends on how well you are using the brushes and countless colours you are gifted with. The tools you use at your work are your brushes and the thoughts and ideas that you employ in doing it are your colours. Aren't they? They are creating you and your destiny.

You are a born master painter. Unleash the painter in you..consciously from this moment on...in whatever the field that you chose to pursue your career.

Sales Secret (39): The one who gets to the customer first with the most gets the most

Hi,
It is our responsibility as sales people to approach the customers and provide them the best of the information, develop confidence and trust in us, and give them the most beneficial offer. True, but when? Before someone else goes to him or earlier than anyone else?

It is always the earlier the better it is. The customer may otherwise lose out going for someone else. After all, you wanted to provide him the best of the service with best of the products. Now he is deprived of it as he went for someone else. There is always a greater chance of him becoming your customer when you are the first to get him the best and the most.

Thought of the Day (104): YOU are on a MISSION - ek mahaaYagna. Aren't you?

"Yagna eradicates all sins and purifies the performer of the yagna. It bestows strength and vigour in him by sanctifying the food he eats and the water he drinks. It induces health and happiness and increases wealth."
Yajur Veda 1, 20

YOU are on a MISSION - ek mahaa yagna. Aren't you? Indeed, you are. It's time to explore and gain clarity of what it is and to for it with full faith. Believe me, you are in the middle of a mahaa yagna - a big noble mission that has potential to bring about a profound impact in the people you deal with and the organisation you are serving. At times, you may not be able to see the big picture of what you are doing on a daily basis. But if you dig deep and see the consequences of what you are doing, you will find how far-reaching they are and how impactful they would be in due course of time. Go out and experience the beauty of being on the mahaa yagna that you are actually on.

Sales Secret (38): Have you raised your standard of selling?

Hi,
The times are changing. The customers are evolving. Today's customers are not the same as those of a few years back. They are today more knowledgeable, more ambitious, and more demanding too. The media revolution and information technology advancements made the customers more empowered than ever before. Their standards have gone up. How about your standard of selling?

Has it also evolved with time? Or is it still the same old style of making a sale by hook-or-crook? You must transform yourself to match the rising standards, and that would be of immense help not only to you but also to your customers and your country as a whole. BY rising your standard of selling, you will transform the way the dialogue is made, the service is offered, the intent is developed, the content is presented, the benefit is shared, the customer is empowered, and the country's economy is uplifted.

It's time now to look at yourself and take a serious view of what you do and how you do it. Ask yourself whether you are putting into practice at least some of the SALES SECRETS shared on this blog thus far. Take a look at them once again TODAY. Start using the tools, techniques, and principles outlined in this blog's Sales Secrets category @ at least one per day. You will be a SUPER STAR soon.

Thought of the Day (103): Partnership is essentially a Firendship

"In partnership, the result is harmony, respect, love, and an explosion of creativity and joy."
Marc Allen

"Friendship is essentially a Partnership."
Aristotle

Friendship is essentially a Partnership. And vice versaPartnership is also essentially a friendship. Be it between life partners, business partners, game partners, it flourishes well if it is strengthened by the bonds of friendship. That enhances the understanding between the people involved and brings about a harmony that makes the relationship more joyful and much more successful.

Unstoppable Updates (32): Happy Vijayadasami!

Hi,
Today is Vijayadasami, the last day of the 10-day Dasara festival and the day after the 9-day Navratri festival. The murtis of Goddess Durga are immersed on the day.  Symbolically, Vijayadasami is the victory of good over evil – Goddess Durga killing demon Mahisha and Lord Ram defeating Ravana.

Symbolically, these wars are the prolonged struggle against the ego and ignorance in each human being. After the struggle there is the day of new beginning – Vijayadasami. May this Vijayadasami help you win in this struggle and make a new beginning in your life for your greater peace, happiness, and prosperity!

To your unstoppable success,

Thought of the Day (102): Work together - Win together

"Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success."
Henry Ford

"Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together."
- Paul Ryan

With the blessings of god, we get an opportunity to come together in an organisation. Having come together, it is important to feel a sense of belonging and endeavour to keep together as a cohesive unit with a common mission and vision. Then, the most critical step for success is to recognise each other's value and appreciate each other's strengths and work together, despite the differences that might exist.

Sales Secret (37): Make a customer, not a sale.

Hi,
As a salesman, you may have a tendency to make sales always. But you can never make a sale without first making a customer. Hence, you effort should be towards making a customer first, and not the sale.

When do you make a customer? You make a customer when he starts trusting that your interest is to help him get what he wants and certainly not to sell him what you have. When he sees a genuine concern in you for finding a solution that best meets his needs, he becomes your customer. On the other hand, if he sees that your primary objective is to just sell him what you have irrespective what he requires, you not only a lose a sale but also a potential customer.

So let your focus be on making a customer first. Sales will follow sooner than later.

To your sales success,
With love,
Siva

Thought of the Day (101): Are you fighting the battle alone or together?

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
Helen Keller

"I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion."
Mia Hamm

While we do a lot of tasks individually, we should remember that we are always a part of a team. And that we are not alone in today's world. We can not be aloof anymore. We can not think that we can achieve what we want all by ourselves. We need others help for our success. Similarly, others need our help too.

We must aim at contributing to the team's success by employing the skills sets we as individual possess. Individual contributions do count but only when they contribute to the team's success. But when we work collectively as a team, there is synergy that makes us more productive than otherwise. After all, alone we can do so little and together we can do so much.

Sales Secret (36): Possess, feel, and exhibit "esprit de corps."

Hi,
You are a part of a team working with others for your success and also the success of your organisation. Right? Then, what is your feeling towards fellow salesmen in your organisation? Do you respect them or resent them? Do you appreciate their skills or denounce their weaknesses?

Your customers are seeing you. They are listening to you. They are reading between the lines too. They get a good impression of your organisation, if you talk good about your colleagues and coworkers. It would not sound good to a customer if you talk bad of a fellow salesman just to upgrade your status. That will actually make them lose confidence in you too. So, be careful when you are talking about your fellow salesmen and coworkers.

Present your fellow salesmen in a good light. Your customers would love it. They appreciate it. They would like to come back to your organisation because you are not the only one who is good out there, but there are good people all around. And the onus is on you to help them gain this impression by your words, especially about your coworkers and colleagues.
To your sales success,
With love,
Siva

Thought of the Day (100): What do you think you are? A team player or a lone warrior?

"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships."
Michael Jordan

"Unity is strength... when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."
Mattie Stepanek

At home or in the office, we have to learn to understand and appreciate that we all have to work as a team in order to achieve anything that is remarkable in our personal and professional lives. Alone, however talented you are, you can only go some distance and accomplish only some tasks. But to win things of significant importance, you ought to be an effective member of a team. Both at home and office, remember always that 'teamwork makes dreamwork.'

What will you do today to prove that you are a good team player both in thought and deed? Just do it.
