Sales Secret (34): Let your head, not your feelings, dictate your actions

Hi,
It is not necessary that your proposals are always accepted by your customers. After all, they are the people who are going to invest. Unless what you proposed is up to their expectations, they may not accept you and your offer. They may even criticise you and your arguments and reject your proposal. In such a case, what do you do? How do you respond?

Your customer may be wrong in his argument. He may even lose his head and suggest something that is quite provocative. What would you do? Would you allow your feelings take control of you? Or will you let your head think wisely and keep your emotions under your control? It is during these times your salesmanship is tested. Anyone and everyone can be goody-goody when everything is positive and normal. Seasoned sales people keep cool during these times. And, they let their head, not their feelings, dictate their responses at that time. With that they convert even the worst of the critics into their customers.

To your sales success,
With love,
Siva
