namam no. 286) SaSabinduh (शशबिन्दुः) (శశబిందుః)

aum SaSabindave namah (ओं शशबिन्दुवे नमः) (ఓం శశబిందువే నమః)

The word Sasa means the people who walk on the wrong path. As paramaatma suppresses (binduh) such people, He is called SaSabinduh.

A rabbit moves around jumping this way and that way without walking straight. Here the word SaSa refers to the people who have such a nature of uneven attitude. People with a sinful mind hate god and His devotees.  Here this namam suggests that He will suppress them leaving no sign of them.

Some people read this namam as Sasibinduh which is incorrect. It may be noted and correctly pronounced as SaSabinduh.

aum namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
