Sales Secrets (10): Roll Out the Red Carpet

Hi,
Everyone is important. Tell me, who is not an important person in this world. And, every person has an innate desire to be treated important by others. Why not? They deserve it. The uniqueness of the people, their skill sets, strengths, hopes & dreams, and their status in this world makes them worthy of that. 

Treat people as important. That is what makes them feel good and happy.  When they feel that importance, they become more accommodative. They tend to listen more; respond, and resonate more, and perhaps agree more. 

This becomes, especially true, if you are working with a customer. Certainly, a person of value to you is a VIP - Very Important Person. Make your customer feel like a VIP. A few examples of making your customers feel like VIPs are:
1. Seeking 'an appointment' from the customer for a meeting
2. Greeting before the customer greets
3. Appreciating the customer 
4. Thanking the customer for the time
5. Respecting the customer at every given opportunity through proper words and gestures.
6. Many more.

In essence, roll out the red carpet to your customer, and make your way to success smoother and easier.
