namam no.338) aSokah (अशोकः) (అశోకః)

aum aSokaaya namah (ओं अशोकाय नमः) (ఓం అశోకాయ నమః)

Soka = pain

The word Soka in this namam also refers to the pains of the body (aadhyaatmaka pains) such as hunger, thirst, disease, desire, and others. As vaasudeva takes the people who take to Him into His lap and avoids such pains to them, He is called aSokah.

aum namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
