namam no. 340) taarah (तारः) (తారః)

aum taaraaya namah (ओं ताराय नमः) (ఓం తారాయ నమః)

He is called taarah as He stays close to His devotees by being within them and helps them overcome all types of fears of samsaara

It means that He takes them sail through the ocean of samsaara that offers unlimited sufferings including those of life in the womb, the time of birth, the death at the old age, etc. It is possible for Him to get rid of these pains for His devotees by being within them as an antrayaami.

This namam appears again as namam # 968.

aum namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
