namam no. 384) gahanah (गहनह) (గహనః)

aum gahanaaya namah (ओं गहनाया नमः) (ఓం గహనాయ నమః)

The namam 'gahanah' describes one quality of Him that He gives, takes care of, nurtures, and provides everything, but is beyond the perception of people. This namam will appear again later as namam #548 

Like a father takes care of his children, whatever they are, whoever they are, and however they are, He also considers everyone as His and everything as His. He brings about changes in the knowledge, nurtures the body, and provides the joys of life, including a house and other things needed for a joyful living. Residing inside of them, He blesses them. This great nature of the Lord is beyond the comprehension of the people. This is the meaning of the namam, 'gahanah'.

namam no. 383) vikartaa (विकर्ता) (వికర్తా)

aum vikartre namah (ओं विकर्त्रे नमः) (ఓం వికర్త్రే నమః)

The namam 'vikartaa' means the one who changes.  As He also goes through the changes of joys and sorrows in Him, He is called vikartaa.

In the earlier namam 'kartaa', it has been said that He performs His tasks independently and that He enjoys the resultant joys and sorrows also. The objective of the creation is to save the beings from drowning in the samsaara saagara and elevate them to His abode. Like a father worries about his children going astray, He also goes through the pain when His people experience the difficulties in pursuit of their ambitions. Also when some of them attain moksha, He feels the joy of accomplishing results of good work. Thus, as He also goes through these changes in the form of joys and sorrows, He is called vikartaa.

namam no. 382) kartaa (कर्ता) (కర్తా)

aum kartre namah (ओं कर्त्रे नमः) (ఓం కర్త్రే నమః)

The one who works dedicatedly in order to accomplish a task without any influence of others and also enjoys the results of such a work, he is called kartaa. As paramaatma is independent and that He works without anybody's influence or interference, He is called 'kartaa.'  

The paramaatma created the universe and also the jeevaas (beings) that perform their tasks and enjoy the results of their efforts. By doing such an act of creation and enjoying the joys and sorrows associated with such a creation, the paramaatma became the true 'kartaa.'
