namam no. 342) Saurih (शौरिः) (శౌరిః)

aum Sauraye namah (ओं शौरये नमः) (ఓం శౌరయే నమః)

He is called Sauri as He is the son of Vasudeva who is said to be a Soora

This word Saurih suggests that He only approaches and goes, especially to His devotees. When Devaki and Vasudeva did penances for thousands of years in their previous birth, Vishnu appeared before them and asked them to ask Him for whatever they wanted, they asked Him to take birth as their child. As per their desire, He took birth as their child in their next life and appeared as Krishna.

This namam comes again as namam # 649.

aum namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
