SLOKA No. 13. of Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Stotram

om namo bhagavate vaasudevaaya.

rudro bahuSiraa babhruh viSvayoni SuchiSravaah | 
amrutah SaaSvatah sthaaNuh varaaroho mahatapaah||
रुद्रो बहुशिरा  बभ्रुः विश्वयोनि सुचिश्रवाः | 
अमृतः शाश्वतः स्थाणुः वरारोहो महातपाः ||
రుద్రో బహుశిరా బభ్రుః విశ్వయోని శుచిశ్రవాః | 
అమృతః శాశ్వతః స్థాణుః వరారోహో మహతపాః ||

This 13th sloka of VSNS has 9 names of lord Vishnu presented in it. They are listed below;

115) rudrah (रुद्रः) (రుద్రః)
116) bahuSiraah (बहुशिराः) (బహుశిరాః)  
117) babhruh  (बभ्रुः) (బభ్రుః)
118) viSvayonih (विश्वयोनिः) (విశ్వయోనిః)
119) SuchiSravaah (सुचिश्रवाः) (శుచిశ్రవాః)
120) amrutah (अमृतः) (అమృతః)
121) SaaSvatasthaaNuh (शाश्वतस्थाणुः) (శాశ్వతస్థాణుః)
122) varaarohah (वरारोहः) (వరారోహః)
123) mahatapaah (महातपाः) (మహతపాః)

Their meanings are presented below:

nama no. 115) rudrah (रुद्रः) (రుద్రః)
om rudraaya namah  (ओं रुद्राय नमः)  (ఓం రుద్రాయ నమః)
The word 'rudra' has its source in 'rodayatitirudrah' - which means 'making one have tears in eyes.'

It must be understood that tears are shed not only because of sadness, but also sometimes due to extreme happiness. The paramaatma makes people have such 'tears of happiness' giving them his divine appearance. Hence, He is called rudrah.

nama no. 116) bahuSiraah (बहुशिराः) (బహుశిరాః)
om bahuSirase namah  (ओं बहुशिरसे नमः)  (ఓం బహుశిరసే నమః)
bahu = many, several; Siras = head; bahuSiraa = many heads

As He has many heads with thousands of hoods, He has this nama bahuSiraah.

It may be understood that Sri Maha Vishnu, in the form of aadiseshu has thousands of hoods in order to bear the weight of the earth.

nama no. 117) babhruh (बभ्रुः) (బభ్రుః)
om babhrave namah  (ओं बभ्रवे नमः)  (ఓం బభ్రవే  నమః)
The word babhru means 'one who is wearing, having as a covering.'

The earlier nama 'bahusiraah' revealed God's wearing of a thousand hoods in the form of a giant snake. Also, as He bears the earth on those hoods, he is referred to with the nama babhru.

nama no. 118) viSvayonih ( विश्वयोनिः) (విశ్వయోనిః)
om viSwayonaye namah  (ओं विश्वयोनये नमः)  (ఓం విశ్వయోనయే నమః)
viSveshaam yonih = viSvayonih

visvam = universe, all in all, everything, everyone; yu = mixture, unifying

In essence, this nama viSvayonih means that He has a relationship with the entire world of His devotees; protecting them as though He is having them in his lap.

This nama appears again as nama no. 151.

nama no. 119) SuchiSravaah (सुचिश्रवाः) (శుచిశ్రవాః)
om SuchiSravase namah  (ओं शुचिश्रवसे नमः)  (ఓం శుచిశ్రవసే నమః)
Sucheeni SRiNoteeti = SuchiSravaah

Suchi = clean, pure, divine; SravaNam = listening

He is called SuchiSravaah as He lends His ears and listens with interest the pure, divine words of His devotees. He is always there to listen to the melodious renderings of His devotees.

nama no. 120) amrutah (अमृतः) (అమృతః)
om amrutaaya namah  (ओं अमृताय नमः)  (ఓం అమృతాయ నమః)
As paramaatma has also got the 3 properties that amrut - the divine nectar has got, He is called amrutah.

Amrit has these 3 properties: 1) unlimited sweetness, 2) no ageing & no death for those who consume it, and 3) desire to have it more and more of it, despite enjoying any amount of it. As Lord Vishnu also makes His devotees feel the enormous sweetness of Him, gets them rid of ageing and death, and has their desire for Him unsatisfied despite their having Him, He is called amritah.

nama no. 121) SaaSvatasthaaNuh (शाश्वतस्थाणुः) (శాశ్వతస్థాణుః)
om SaaSvatasthaNave namah  (ओं शाश्वतस्थाणवे नमः)  (ఓం శాశ్వతస్థాణవే నమః)
This nama SaaSvatsstaaNuh is a combination of 2 words: SaaSvata (permanent, eternal) and aNuh (atomic, a small fraction, minuscule) describing that the sweetness of amrut (as revealed by the earlier nama amrutah) is only a small fraction of that of the paramaatma and that His anugraham to His devotees is permanent while amrut is not.  

The reference of earlier nama of amrutah is that way relevant in order to highlight the significance and greatness of the paramaatma.

nama no. 122) varaarohah (वरारोहः) (వరారోహః)
om varaarohaaya namah  (ओं वरारोहाय नमः)  (ఓం వరారోహాయ నమః)
vara = The best of all; aroha = obtainment; attainment

The last two namas amrutah and SaaSvatasthaaNuh revealed that Lord Vishnu stays with His devotees without leaving them and also highlighted the sweetness of His anugraham which is tastier than the amrut. That's why, this nama vararoahah suggests that attainment of God's blessings is the best of all as compared with the results of any other types of activities. 

nama no. 123) mahatapaah (महातपाः) (మహతపాః)
om mahaatapase namah  (ओं महातपसे नमः)  (ఓం మహాతపసే నమః)
The word tapah means 'knowledge' or the one who has immense knowledge. in the present context, it refers to the knowledge of withdrawing the universe at the time of mahapralaya. As paramaatma has such knowledge of the origin of the mahapralaya and also the capability of withdrawing universe into Him at that time, He is called mahatapaah.
