namam no. 217) sragvee (स्रग्वी) (స్రగ్వీ)

om sragviNe namah (ओं स्रग्विणे  नमः) (ఓం స్రగ్విణే నమః)

He is called sragvee as He wears the divine garland of "vyjayanthi" on his chest, though He appeared in the roopam of a matsya - the fish.

Vyjayanthi is a garland of flowers of different colours. It is filled with delightful fragrance and it is never-fading. That is the divine garland seen on the chest of Srimannaarayana. That stayed with the swamy in His matsyaavataram also.

om namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
