suraari = enemy of the devatas
He is called suraarihaa as He destroyed the enemy of the devatas - the HiraNyakaSipu by tearing his chest with His strong nails. There was no one stronger than the HiraNyakaSipu in all the lokas. Even the weapons used by the ashtadikpaalakaas could not penetrate his chest. But such a strong chest was also easily teared open by the nails of His hands.
