Nama No. 203) sandhaataa (सन्धाता) (సంధాతా)

om sandhaatre namah (ओं सन्धात्रे नमः) (ఓం సంధాత్రే నమః)

This namam sandhaataa means that though He acquired the a terrifying aakaara (form) to decimate His enemies, He took devotees like Sandhaataa and Prahlada closeer to him and cared for them.

When He was in the most terrifying form after killing HiraNyakaSipu and that it was no possible for anyone including that of Brahma, Lakshmi Devi and others to pacify His anger, it was Prahlada who fell at His feet, looked at Him with folded hands. The lord Narasimha blessed Prahlada gently placing His hand on his head and took him closer to Him.

This sandhaataa namam describes this benign nature of Lord Vishnu.

om namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
