Nama No. 191) mareechih (मरीचिः) (మరీచిః)

om mareechaye namah (ओं मरीचये नमः) (ఓం మరీచయే నమః)

The reference of swan avatar (hamsaavataar) came in the earlier nama 'suraananda.' The nama 'hamsah' is going to come directly soon. Here the word 'mareechih' refers to the divinely bright white light of the god of veda-vidya : the hamsaavataar.

mareechich = pure ray of light

That white ray of light dispels the darkness and enables the kknowledge of all the matter. Similarly, the paramatma in his hamsaroopa.
