This 15th sloka of VSNS has 8 names of lord Vishnu presented in it. The list of these 8 names their meanings are presented below:
135) lokaadhyakshah (लोकाध्यक्षः) (లోకాధ్యక్షః)
136) suraadhyakshah (सुराध्यक्षः) (సురాధ్యక్షః)
137) dharmaadhyakshah (धर्माध्यक्षः) (ధర్మాధ్యక్షః)
138) kritaakritah (कृताकृतः) (కృతాకృతః)
139) chaturaatmaa (चतुरात्मा) (చతురాత్మా)
140) chaturvyuhah (चतुर्व्यूहः) (చతుర్వూహః)
141) chaturdamshtrah (चतुर्दंष्ट्रः) (చతుర్దంష్ట్రః)
142) chaturbhujah (चतुर्भुजः) (చతుర్భుజః)
nama no. 135) lokaadhyakshah (लोकाध्यक्षः) (లోకాధ్యక్షః); 136) suraadhyakshah (सुराध्यक्षः) (సురాధ్యక్షః); 137) dharmaadhyakshah (धर्माध्यक्षः) (ధర్మాధ్యక్షః)
135) om lokaadhyakshaaya namah (ओं लोकाध्यक्षाय नमः) (ఓం లోకాధ్యక్షాయ నమః)
136) om suraadhyakshaaya namah (ओं सुराध्यक्षाय नमः) (ఓం సురాధ్యక్షాయ నమః)
137) om dharmaadhyakshaaya namah (ओं धर्माध्यक्षाय नमः) (ఓం ధర్మాధ్యక్షాయ నమః)
As revealed in the earlier nama 'kavih,' paramaatma is kranthadarshi, having the power of seeing and observing even all those things that are beyond the knowledge of the world. These 3 namas 135) lokaadhyakshah, 136) suraadhyakshah, and 137) dharmaadhyakshah are emphasising the same thing together.
Here, the words loka means the people, sura meaning the devatas, and dharma meaning dharma - all that we do in order to get our desired results. Lord Vishnu is the 'adhyaksha - the controller' of all these three, hence the namas lokaadhyakshah, suraadhyakshah, and dharmaadhyakshah.
nama no. 138) kritaakritah (कृताकृतः) (కృతాకృతః)
om kritaakritaaya namah (ओं कृताकृताय नमः) (ఓం కృతాకృతాయ నమః)
There are two types of dharma : 1) pravartaka dharma that yields results of material world, and it is called krita; and 2) nivartaka dharma that gives eternal moksha, and it is called akrita.
As paramaatma is the one who gives both of these 2 types of blessings, he is called kritaakritah.
nama no. 139) chaturaatmaa (चतुरात्मा) (చతురాత్మా)
om chaturaatmane namah (ओं चतुरात्मने नमः) (ఓం చతురాత్మనే నమః)
Thus as paramaatama is having 4 roopas of vasudeva, sangharshana, pradyumna, and aniruddha, only narayana is called chaturaatma.
nama no. 140) chaturvyuhah (चतुर्व्यूहः) (చతుర్వూహః)
om chaturvyuhaaya namah (ओं चतुर्व्यूहाय नमः) (ఓం చతుర్ వ్యూహాయ నమః)
The earlier nama 'chaturaatma' revealed that Lord Narayana has 4 roopas. How is possible for one to have 4 different roopas? The present nama 'chaturvyuhah' answers that question.
As described in the several namas of Lord Vishnu earlier, the four roopas of Vasudeva and others have formed in order to conduct the activities of creation. These include the roopa that can be worshipped, the roopa that can be prayed to with all the good qualities (shadgunaas).
Thus, he is called chaturvyuhah as he accepts the four different types of roopas.
nama no. 141) chaturdamshtrah (चतुर्दंष्ट्रः) (చతుర్దంష్ట్రః)
om chaturdamshtraaya namah (ओं चतुर्दंष्ट्राय नमः) (ఓం చతుర్దంష్ట్రయ నమః)
This nama chaturdamshtrah means the one who has 4 damshtraas (teeth, tusks).
nama no. 142) chaturbhujah (चतुर्भुजः) (చతుర్భుజః)
om chaturbhujaaya namah (ओं चतुर्भुजाय नमः) (ఓం చతుర్భుజాయ నమః)
bhuja = shoulder, hand
Only paramaatma lord vishnu has 4 hands. No other devtaas in the universe have this feature.
om namo naraayanaaya!
