om animishaaya namah (ओं अनिमिषाया नमः) (ఓం అనిమిషాయ నమః)
The same swamy with the body of a fish stays alert without even blinking an eylid (na + nimishati) when it comes to protecting those who take to Him.
We have seen the two namams: nimishah and animishah side by side. They are contradictory to each other. The word nimishah means closing the eyes and animishah means opening of the eyes. These namams are specific to matsyaavataram.
