namam no. 269) mahendrah (महेन्द्रः) (మహేంద్రః)

aum maheandraaya namah (ओं महेन्द्राय नमः) (ఓం మహేంద్రాయ నమః)

The word indra suggests great prosperity. There is no one richer than Indra, the Head of the devatas. The word maha in mahendra reveals that the difference in the richness of god and that of Indra is similar to the difference between that of a mountain and a grain of dust.

Also, Indra's prosperity is not stable. It is also not self-attained. It was obtained by Him with god's blessings. Whereas, the god's richness is natural, undiminishable and that is why He is called mahendrah

aum namo bhagavate vasudevaya!
