When your endeavour is to provide your customer with better and better of your products or services or ideas for less and less of cost,  he may buy more and more from you. That however doesn't mean that you sell for less and make losses for your organisation. Your effort should be towards continually developing or designing your offer in such a way that it not only fits the bill of your customer and but also maximises its value for every penny he spends. That will help him buy more and more from you.
